If you genuinely take something to be 'immoral' - throughout all time and space - the quality of immorality need not depend on its impact on you or anyone else. Immoral judgments need not rest on consequences or outcomes to anyone, but may rest purely on the inherent or innate characteristics of that thing. The 'how does it affect you' argument is valuable in that it emphasises that practical consequences may be relevant.
